This is the very best pot and sauté pan I have ever owned! I recently moved last year into a new home and the kitchen has a glass top stove. I was frustrated for months because my old copper bottom cookware would not cook properly on the glass top stove. The pan would rock after it heated up and it took almost a half hour just to boil water. My Corning Ware was not much better. The only pan I already had was my cast iron fry pan and it worked well for cooking eggs and frying things.
After much research and lots of comparisons, I chose the True Induction Stainless Steel Multi-ply Gourmet cookware. Yes, it is expensive but is worth every penny I spent on it and I will treasure it forever. I can boil water in no time and cook much faster and no longer hate my glass top stove. Aside from all that, the pots are shiney and beautiful.

We are building a new energy efficient solar powered home and an induction stove top is the obvious way to go. I purchased this single burner induction cooktop to check out induction cooking as I had not had any experience of it and wanted to try it out before taking the plunge to by the full size stovetop. Well - I am very happy so far, I love it - it is as fast as using the microwave and it is clean and efficient. We find that we are using it in preference to the regular electric stove top in our apartment. The timer feature is something I hope the full size stovetop I purchase will also have. (It prevents me from burning pans dry!).

I've been using this burner 2-4 times per day since I bought it, and it has yet to disappoint. The cooking is FAST and very even and the clean up is simple as possible since the top is covered by a single sheet of glass and there are no crevices for spilled food or debris to get caught in. The display is also underneath the glass and VERY easy to read and operate with very sensitive capacitative touch controls. The fan is a little loud when compared to other burners; however, I think this is warranted. The fan seems to spin at a higher RPM than other induction burners and thus keeps the whole burners as a whole cooler. Other brands that have quieter fans have to stay on longer after cooking is finished to cool down the insides of the burner to the proper level; however, due to the higher RPM fan in the True Induction Cook-top, the fan rarely spins for longer than 15 seconds after it is turned off, compared to a minute or longer on other brands. I highly recommend this item in both terms of performance and looks; quite an aesthetically pleasing design in person with no apparent corners being cut in production. VERY high quality build.

I needed an extra burner and this meets my needs. I wanted to use it primary for pasta at the sink. Boiling on my regular cooktop, the moisture covers the microwave above it even using the fan. It is also difficult to carry a heavy, hot pot to my sink.
It looks modern enough to leave out in my kitchen so it's ready to use but compact enough to store in the pantry. I already had stainless steel cookware so I don't need any special pans to use on it.
It has other uses besides my intended use.

We ordered this only after the Chef Todd Single Burner (from HSN) went defunct after one use and there was a problem in sending in back. So we gave up and went on a search for a better one, and did we find it! Heats beautiful, great timer and temperature setting functions. It arrived quickly and well packed. REceived notification by e mail that this company received our registration. Keep in mind it is an induction plat so not all pans will work on it. But we are very pleased at this purchase. Would do it all over again!

The reason why I love this induction cooker is because it saves me time. When I get home from work to make dinner, I just want to make a quick meal and relax. So with this induction cooker, I can boil water in half the time. I no longer have to wait around several minutes for my water to boil. I mean those few minutes matter to me, especially after a long day of work. I also really enjoy the sleek look. My main purpose in buying this is to have a cooktop that I can put on a timer to avoid burning food if I become distracted or run out. I also wanted to experiment with induction. -- This device arrived promptly and works as advertised. There is fan noise, but it's not bad. The timer increments in units of 5 minutes, but it decrements in units of single minutes, so you can set the timer to any number of minutes. I've not tried more than 15 min. Things heat+boil quickly. It does seem to have the ability to only lightly warm and but only one or maybe two of it's twenty heat or temp settings really stay below the boiling point, even settings that you'd expect to be below boiling. I'd prefer a little bit more control of the temp below boiling. Overall I'm pleased and I use this now as my primary cook top.

I can't believe how quickly and evenly things cook on this induction burner. I had to practice because it cooks so much faster than my electric cook top. When I am in the market for a new cook top, it will be induction. The heat is almost instant when you turn it on and water stops boiling almost instantly when turned off. I've had gas cook tops but after using this, in my opinion, induction is the way to go. And I like the touch controls built right into the top - very easy to use. I now prefer to use this over my electric stove and I plan to use it to cook on the patio in the summer. Great product.

Wanted an induction cooktop for the RV (when we're hooked up to 110) and this one is a winner. It looks great so I plan to keep it on the counter in my home kitchen when we're not using the RV. It's different from using gas or electric so there was a little trial and error but it's very user friendly and the timer is a great feature. Can't wait to use it for canning. My husband and I had seen the commercial for the NuWave induction cooktop and looked into getting that; but by the time you got the free one and the cookware, and shipping for each separate item, you were paying almost $300. Well, we weren't going to fall for it. Husband looked & looked on the internet for other induction cooktops and after a week checking peoples reviews and all, we came up with this cooktop; and we are not sorry at all. It has to be the best out there. I went to Walmart, got the basic items..small pot/lid, med. pot/lid and a 12" everyday pan all with thick magnetic bottoms. It heat so fast. Besides having an on/off and timer button, there is a temp. and heat button . After a liquid gets to a boil, we put both of these buttons at the lowest settings which will keep it at a steady simmer. The shape is so much better than being round like the NuWave; it will fit in a corner or in the center of your counter. My husband wishes it had 1 more lower heat setting, but I think it's perfect! We recommend this True Induction Cooktop whole heartedly for everyone looking for an extra burner. (It would also be great in a camper).

This Cooktop is superior to the one advertised on TV. I bought this one as a gift for someone else. I then received the one advertised on TV as a gift for me! The True Induction brand cooktop is not only 25% faster to heat a gallon of water, it also has a much nicer control surface. The True Induction top is solid and crumbs can't fall into the edges.... the Other Brand has edges which can trap crumbs and grime.
My sister loved this for making a white sauce. I used it under a pressure cooker. It is very easy to keep the temps right where you want them.

Pros. I give the True Induction energy Efficient Single Burner Induction Cooktop a 5 star rating because it is the greatest thing since the microwave. I had my doubts about it at first, but after using it, it is just amazing that you can actually control the temperature of what you are cooking. You can slow cook soups, a roast, or anything your heart desires. Once it reaches the selected temperature, it hold it there...try doing that on a gas or electric stove. It heats the pot or pan evenly without heating the house up. When set to 450 degrees, it only uses 13.3 amps, but I can't imagine anyone needing to heat something up to 450 degrees. It takes so long for my gas stove to boil water that the house is heated up before it starts boiling, but with this, water is boiling within two minutes and no heated house. The safety features are great and make me feel safe when I use it knowing that even if I leave it on, it turns off when the pot is removed. I'm thinking why hasn't this technology being used of different applications like hot water heaters, or commercial boilers?
Cons. I would have designed the controls a little bit different, like the power button being green and red instead of constantly red, and not turning on until a temperature setting is selected, but if that is all I have to complain about, I have nothing to complain about.
I would recommend this to everyone that uses a gas or electric stove, there is no way you will be disappointed.

I wanted a burner I could use outside to deep fry seafood and pan fry other foods. I have been impressed with it. I use a mediuml iron Dutch oven for deep frying and it is able to heat the oil quickly and keep it hot. It is not as fast and efficient as my 4 gallon propane Cajun Fryer, but it is a lot easier to set it up and clean it up for small batches. It looks good. It does have a fan that runs when turned on that makes some noise, but outside it is not a problem. It sure beats making the inside of the house smell like cooked grease. You have to use conductive metal pots, pans, etc., but it is worth purchasing some if you don't have them.

Downsized Mom is very happy with this unit so far. She needs a safe and efficient way of making her Irish tea and breakfast. The unit is easy to clean, very attractive, and worked well out of the box. Not sure the difference between heat and temperature modes but either seem to do the trick. Good warranty, and comes with a 2 prong 120vac plug which is beneficial for old ungrounded receptacles. Make sure the little tiny rubber feet aren't loose.

I have only use this one time but it worked perfectly and worked with all of my cookware. After reading all of the reviews on different models I chose this one based off reviews. I live in the area where power can go out for a long time. I have backup batteries and I thought I would be able to use this with an emergency battery which other people said they had. It has a large surface area so even my bigger pots fit.

I bought this to replace a horrible glass cook top that frankly was utter crap. It took 20 minutes to get warm, then incinerated whatever was in the pan. I have used single counter top induction burners before and love them, so when installing a new kitchen this was a no brainer. I have set it into my counter top and it looks really great. It works just as you would expect, heats your stainless pan in seconds, reacts just like gas and, like gas, when you turn it off there is very little residual heat. As a single person having just 2 burners is plenty for me, but a family might want to get a 3 or 4 burner. BTW, it plugs into a regular 110 outlet. Brilliant.

This burner is excellent!
Pros - Unit has a built-in safety feature that will not continue to try to heat a pan if a pan is not detected. Heats food up FAST!!! Underside comes with a foam-rubber gasket installed for the inset mounting (helps keep it in one place and reduces noise resonating through the counter top)
Cons - My only major problem with this unit is how loud the cooling fans on the underside are. They sound like an old Computer fan running. The sound is certainly muffled because the fans are down below the counter top; but, you can definitely still hear them running.
I had not problems running both burners at 100% power with any noticeable issues. I did, however, run a dedicated line from the Circuit Breaker Panel directly to the outlet that this plugs into so that it will not have any negative effects on other items plugged into the house.

After one use, I am hooked. This is a great cooktop. I wanted to test it out before installing it, I made some soup. Sauteed some onions: the pot heated quickly, as fast or faster than gas, WAY faster than old-fashioned electric. The buttons are touch-pad style, super-easy to operate. The temperature levels are easy to adjust, and when you increase or decrease the heat, you notice immediately, similar to using gas. If anything you need to turn the level lower than you think. I wanted the soup to simmer, and kept adjusting it down! When the soup needed to simmer for ten minutes, I set the temp at level 2, and set the built-in timer. After ten minutes, the unit shut off. Nice.
One thing to note: each burner has a fan underneath for cooling the element. It runs whenever the unit is heating, and makes a little noise. When it's installed in a countertop I don't think you'll really notice, but sitting on the countertop it does make some noise. But compared with the performance, the noise is a non-issue.
Once you start using this cooktop, everything else is going to seem second-rate. Highly recommended.

Bought this for ease of cooking without fear of flame or burns from mobility issues from Muscular Dystrophy. Installed into a lower countertop with knee room underneath for drive up cooking. Install next to the stove/oven and now the husband and wife can cook together.
This cooktop boiled a quart of water faster then my microwave boiled a cup of water. Enough power to do all a normal household needs... and it holds food on warm... try doing that on another stove! Thank you True Induction... she's back to being able to say... get out of my kitchen again.

+ We have not received multiple error messages from this model. When there is an error (as when there is no cookware on the cooktop when it is on), the machine lets out 2 or 3 pleasant beeps before it turns off.

Cons:
+ Using a standard outlet, the cooktop works, however, the two burners share heating power. For example, if I increase the heat on one burner, it decreases the heat on the other burner. This may be rectified if we have a 110 outlet installed as recommended.
Overall:
After we purchased a single burner Duxtop and loved induction cooking, my husband convinced me that it would be beneficial for us to purchase a two burner model that we could later inset into our counter when it was affordable for us to do. This cooktop was affordable, but also allowed us the ability to cook side by side manning one burner each. We love that it is sleek and coordinates with the look of our small remodeled kitchen. We are disappointed however at the heat sharing between burners, but once we afford installing a more powerful outlet and new electrical line to our circuit breaker, we will be able to judge its effectiveness more fairly. Otherwise, we enjoy cooking in our kitchen with this product.

This works great and drops in the counter like a dream, just cut the whole the correct size. I works perfectly, goes on and off almost like its magic, but remember you must use metal pots. This stove top has even heating wherever the pan touches the element and heats rapidly. We installed this unit into our RV/Fifth Wheel and it looks beautiful. Works well. Sits on the countertop in our efficiency kitchen while we remodel our main kitchen. A real workhorse. Don't bother paying extra for the drop in model. Is exactly the same but with a stick on rubber gasket. Probably just weather stripping. It's stuck on the underside of the overhang, which ultimately leaves the glass top edge supporting the unit unless you build a support under the counter. If you leave a pot on the cooktop and it gets turned on somehow, it's default temperature does not start at the lowest setting but in the middle, 5, which is HOT. Burned two pots this way so now I unplug the unit or make sure nothing is left on the surface. I think both times I deduced my counter loving cat stepped on the power button, but I did not see him do it. If it is turning on by itself that's scary but from now on I will keep it unplugged (or no pot/pan sitting on unit). Internal fans can be a little noisy when trying to talk on the phone or have a conversation with someone. Overall, I love it because of the crappy electric radiant unit I was using before. This will accomplish the biggest pot of boiling water quickly enough. I use it to cook for my family and it keeps up with all of us. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Have had it several months now and overall I'm very happy with it.

Nothing but kudos for this mini-range! Induction heating is fast, the range-top is beautiful, the controls are functional and simple to operate. The only negative MIGHT be the price. But this unit reflects real quality and well-worth the price when you consider the alternatives of a full-size range requiring special wiring or a gas line. I purchased this cooktop over a year ago on amazon, but for various reasons, never used it until recently. We are in the middle of a major renovation, and have had no range for a month. This cooktop has saved our lives. I have cooked every meal on it and really given it a workout.
I use my cast iron and cast enamel Le Creuset cookware and everything works beautifully. When you plug item in, it beeps but does not come on until you hit a button on whichever side you are using. Be aware that level 10 is the top level, but I have never had to go above 5 for a quick boil. Also, level 10 is the max for the entire cooktop: if one burner is on level 6, the max you can use on the other burner is 4. I start a burner on 5 and then adjust down after the pan is fully heated. I usually cook most items at 2 or 3 (except true frying). I just love this cooktop and now know that, even when my new range is installed, I will make room for this wonderful cooktop often.
You can use this anywhere you have power, and it can be set to the exact temperature required in your recipe, i.e. 325; and, you have a timer up to 150 minutes so that you do not have to monitor cooking as often. Any pot which will hold a magnet will work with this cooktop - I happen to have inherited some wonderful cast iron cookware that is over 60 years old - every time I use them, I think lovingly of my grandmother. I cannot answer question about cast iron with ridges, but I am sure the company could address that. I have used a large griddle across both burners with success and ease. When you remove your pan, the unit automatically shuts off - lots of safety features.
It is easy to clean, a dream to use, keeps my kitchen cool, and would be a wonderful addition for anyone who does entertaining and wants extra serving/warming/cooking options. And, this baby will be wonderful for the holidays, giving you so many extra options when you really need them. As you can tell, I LOVE this double cooktop, and NO, I do not work for the company (glad amazon confirms regular customers who have actually purchased a reviewed item). I have purposely waited one month to write this review; I wanted to completely test it. First of all I must say I am not disappointed. In fact I am amazed! I could reiterate all the nice things everyone else has said but instead I will just say "DITTO."
But here are things others have not said. I visit Northern California once a year for my medical care and bring empty suitcases to fill with my annual shopping. I live on an island in Belize and cost of getting goods here is very high. Note that I unboxed the unit and wrapped a bath sheet around it and put them in a vacuum sealed storage bag. This fit easily in one of my suitcases. I was concerned about the weight when it was listed as 30 pounds shipping weight but out of the several boxes and packaging it weighed 15 pounds.
I bought a magnet and went around stores testing the bottom of pans and settled on a 5 quart jumbo cooker, a 10" skillet and a 3 quart sauce pan by Mainstay - Wal Mart's brand. These are not nearly as heavy as products that were stamped "induction ready" but they are great. I like it that they are lighter weight as I can handle them easier. The BONUS is that food does not stick to them. HONEST! Eggs slide right out as does everything else. A soapy sponge cleans them with a few swishes.
Another fine point is that the bottom of the pans do not get gunked up either. I like the outsides of my stuff to look as shinny as the inside and these stay clean. I also clean the cooktop with a soapy sponged followed by a paper towel.
I started out keeping a place mat across the burners when not in use as I was concerned that others that make themselves at home in my kitchen might drop something on it. one day I folded it back under the jumbo cooker and proceeded to use the other burner that spattered boiling water out around the glass lid. As I wiped this up with a paper towel I inadvertently turned the unit on. I discovered my error in about 5 minutes and started to panic as I picked up the pot in one hand and the placemat in the other. The pot was hot but the cloth placemat was not. HONESTLY! People don't believe me.
As for lifting the skillet and shaking it I find that if I return it within ten seconds or so the unit stays on. Maybe they found a way to fix this.
My son is an amateur chef and was so impressed with this that I have ordered the single burner one for him to travel with. When my house is completed I will order a second two burner one and place them two feet apart on the counter so that two people can be cooking side by side at one time.

The seller said no problem just return it. I decided to give it a try. And, no regrets. The two burners function nicely. The total heating output is 10. You can break it up with 6 -4; 5-5;7-3; 9-1. The two year guarantee helps you know this is one great product.
I have environmental issues. And, this is so clean to use. It beats electric almost as good as gas without the inhalation of fumes. Get this stove you will love it. And, never look back.

In order to save money we moved into an extension of a house that only had a kitchenette, so we needed a stove. Coming from years of using Gas stoves I was leery about going to an electric stovetop, and was intrigued by the induction option. I could get this and a nice toaster oven for much cheaper than a full range, and it would be perfect for my wife and I. The unit looks GREAT! it's low profile makes it easy to just leave on the counter and use it like a countertop. The black glass top is super easy to clean too! The touch controls are easy to use and simple to understand, but can be touchy when trying to clean. When I wipe down the top I usually turn one or both tops on. Luckily with the induction idea, nothing heats up if you turn it on accidentally.
Some reviews comment on the internal fan, which is noticeable, but not annoying to me. Its not as loud as a low speed vent fan, and usually drowns out in the sound of sizzling food. The unit can only handle a combined power setting of 10; so one side at 10 and the other off, One at 5 and the other at 5, one at 7 and one at 3, etc. one time I was trying to boil corn and cook chicken and found this limit restraining, but I managed to keep the water boiling at 7 and the chicken simmering at 3. At the lowest power settings the unit still makes some good heat, so we have had to address some recipes with more liquid or shorter cook time. Also you can't use any non-ferrous pans on these, so make sure you don't have all aluminum. I had to buy a stainless steel skillet to use in lieu of all my aluminum non-sticks.
Now, you won't be boiling water in 90 seconds like some ads say for induction (unless you only need a half a cup). But it does heat fast. I had a pan of oil (maybe 0.5" deep) ready to fry some home made chips within 2 minutes. I can start frying bacon in 30 seconds or less! It is awesome! About the only thing that gets annoying is when I make Crepes and am swirling the batter in the pan, the auto off feature beeps at me and regularly shuts off my "burner" before I return the pan. I would highly recommend this stovetop for an everyday kitchen or for additional cook space! I have been using it for over 3 months with no issues!

I purchased this to use in a galley kitchen in a small apartment, which has no stove or oven. I've been using it for at least 3 weeks on a regular basis and so far, I'm thoroughly pleased. The 2 pots and 1 pan I purchased to use with this unit are working well with it. I knew in advance that I would need to purchase magnetic cookware. The cookware I purchased cannot be used above medium heat (5) so I really don't know how fast the unit boils water, etc. but I can assure you that it cooks fast enough for me. All you need is a damp soft cloth or sponge for clean up and wait until it is totally cooled before you put it away. The first one that arrived had a tiny scratch on one of the burners but the company had no problem sending a new one once they received the original.

This was purchased for a very small kitchen at my business. Needed something that would work in a standard household outlet. A 15 AMP outlet at that. Biggest worry was that it wouldn't work or would be right at the tripping range, luckily it works on a 15.
The unit looks really nice. I was a little bit surprised by the packaging and the instructions, looking at the official True Induction website I was hoping/expecting to get a bit more in the box that went over the product, warranties, and that kind of a thing.
It's a little bit slow at times (when it comes to boiling water) - but I think that this largely has to do with the quality of the cookware and not the unit itself.
Overall very happy. I would recommend to anyone that needs a solution in a limited space/kitchen.

I researched the dickens out of this product before I bought it. I have serious asthma that I am trying to "cure" and decided to have my gas range turned off to see if it helped reduce my asthma attacks and as a side comment it did dramatically. Anyway at some point we'll need a new range and I wanted to try the new technology of an induction cooktop. This had the reviews I decided to go with and it lived up to all the manufacturer's claims as well as the positive comments I read in reviews. This wonderful cooktop performs brilliantly. I've never seen water heat so fast in my life, including with gas. It is immediately reactive to any changes you ask of it and I love that. As the family "chef" I fell in love with gas long ago because it was so responsive. So is this. I cooked Asian food on it and it is instantly responsive which you can see in the pan immediately.
There is slight fan noise when it cooks, but then cooking is not a silent situation anyway. You'll still have your fan on overhead so I don't find that slight fan sound bothers me at all. It's actually very quiet for a fan sound. It's a handsome piece of kitchen ware, looks very good after you've cleaned it and seems quite sturdy leading me to believe I'll have this around for quite a few years.
If you want to take induction cooking for a test drive, I'd highly recommend buying this. You can always use it for other occasions, or when you have lots of people coming over for the holidays and need extra burners. They'll flip over how easy it is to learn to use. I had it all figured out in the first meal I cooked so don't be afraid to try something new. This one's a piece of cake! Love it.

I had a different make of the same set-up before, but that one clunked out after a couple of years. I am assuming I cannot really expect a lot out of these cheap ones, but for the space and the overall set-up of the kitchen area does not allow me to get anything more serious or substantial. What I like about this one is that the whole surface is one sheet of class, which is very important for cleaning and for sturdiness. As these are mostly made with plastic rims, those tend to melt sooner or later when you put a hot pan on them by mistake. THis has been awesome so far, thought the lowest setting is a little on the hot side. For me there is no return from induction. I highly recommend the technology to everybody, and this seems to be a good model.

I bought this to test out whether I wanted to buy an induction range when I had my kitchen remodeled. It has worked perfectly since I first plugged it in (months ago) and I expect to get continued service from it. I had enough pots and pans already that are magnetic, so I was able to give it a good test. My kitchen still hasn't been remodeled and I love this cook top so much that I'm still using it daily. have purchased a new induction range (Maytag) and it's stored in my garage while I patiently wait for my renovation team to get started. This wait has been good because I discovered that I could also get along well with a very small refrigerator (had a dorm frig for the first 6 months) and have replaced it with a beautiful 10.6 cu ft LG refrigerator which is counter depth and 23" wide but very tall! It is working out perfectly. If my renovation teams delays much longer I may just swap out the induction range for the very, very old gas one and just live simply in my 1905 house with its 50's style kitchen. I do love this cook top, though, and will continue to use it. During the summer months here in the Midwest, I use it on my deck along with my portable oven so I can keep cooking without heating up the house.

This is a truly beautiful, fully functional cooktop. Bought as part of office kitchen remodeling project. Got rid of stove and added this instead. Fast is key word here - and accurate. I would consider induction for my next personal, in-house unit. Only warning: the beast draws heavy amps, so you need a dedicated circuit. Toaster oven plus this cooktop equals lights out. I added a separate circuit.

This product is great. Have owned it for about a year now and have had no issues with it. We purchased this for our kitchenette project in the basement that did not have gas hook up ready, nor did it have a 50 amp outlet for an electrical stove ready. So to make things easy and since we were working with a small space this was perfect. The safety features are great and easily gets up to temperatures high enough to boil water.
There is one concern I'd like to share with others and I won't rate it down, because this is more user error than product error. Please make sure you do not leave pans or any of the sort on this cook top. My sister had left a pan with a plastic ladle in it and it was "OFF." However, one our adventurous cats had walked on it, pressing the "ON" button. Well, the ladle melted and the house soon filled up with nasty toxic smoke. It was so horrible. This would seem to be common sense not to leave anything on the cook-top, but you know... smh.

I love everything about it. It is really fast. A can of soup heats to boiling in 3 minutes on heat level 8. One of the most important things I like about it is that the entire top is nothing but glass. No seams, no crevices and no knobs for dirt and crud to gather. I have it sitting on top of my electric stove and just use it instead. When we have a sandwich we like hashbrown patties with it. It cooks so quickly I have to cook the hashbrowns on heat level 2 to give me time to get the sandwiches made. That way they are ready to eat at the same time.
I highly recommend it to anyone. I rave about it so much, my sister said the company should pay me.

Amazon is one of the best deals going, but I purchased this item directly from Health Craft (healthcraft.com) because I had difficulty finding it; besides, it was on special and was by far the best price I could find. It was out-of-stock at many places, so seems likely to be a quality, sought-after product. With future remodeling or new home requirements, we'll almost certainly forgo any built-in range setup. This item can be stored out of the way until needed, and they have a single burner so you could have any combination of doubles and singles arranged anywhere you want to cook, and they seem perfectly safe because of the nature of induction cooking. It also seems induction cooking is the most energy efficient way to cook short of a solar cooker setup. I really can't say enough positive about induction cooking, this product, and the service from the source I purchased it.

First thing I will say is that I had no clue what Induction was.
I purchase this for my grandmother as she doesn't have a stove or high power outlet.
That being said, Any pots/pans that are magnetized work perfect on this burner.
My mother literally turned this on and came back after a minute and her pierogi's were burned the way she likes them.

I just received my True Induction dual cooktop. All last week I was getting my new SS cookware and tonight I did some stir-fry. It worked wonderfully!
This thing looks so sleek and modern that I will just leave it out on top of the old cooktop. Heats quickly with instantaneous heat adjustment (so much better than coil burners)
My Vollrath Optio cookware is simply wonderful (7 piece set) and the Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-Inch Wok with Dome Lid was a joy to use.

In my view, the only method of using this induction cook top effectively and safely is to dispense with the temperature control entirely and use only the power control feature (from 400 to 3200 watts in 200 watt increments). Changing the power setting of an induction cook top is equivalent to turning the knob on a conventional electric and gas burner. Temperature is best monitored using a non-contact infrared thermometer aimed at the inside of cookware surface or the food itself while cooking in order to avoid overheating since the high power capability of this induction burner can raise cookware temperatures in mere seconds, much faster than gas or electrical resistance burners. That high power, however, is why this induction burner is a time saver when cooking pasta. This model also sports a large diameter induction coil that heats cookware bottoms uniformly thus avoiding hot spots that can scorch delicate sauces and is the reason it fries bacon to near perfection when used with a suitable skillet. When water begins to boil, for example, bubbles form over a fairly large circular area about 7-8 inches in diameter. There is no narrow ring of bubbles as has been reported with some other high power induction units. That's why I decided to give this unit 4 stars even with its fatally flawed temperature control feature. It also has a built-in timer that turns the unit off automatically after the programmed time has elapsed and it's very light in weight given its high power output.

This IS perfect! We bought it for our 2014 RV and it fits right in the propane stove top hole. So great! We can still use our counter top covers right on top for more counter space, just like the gas top. I have a radiant cooktop in my home and love it... no mess, super easy clean up and this induction is awesome. Same no mess top, easy clean up AND no heat unless the pan is on it. Wonderful!

Loved it. Bought as early Christmas gift to help with Thanksgiving cooking. Worked well and relieved the stress of a stove with only three working burners. Fit nicely on counter, accommodated multi-sized pans easily and allowed freedom of fear of burns to hands near surface. Will help to decide future cook-top in planned kitchen remodel. A little pricey, but well worth it. Product was well packed and arrived earlier than expected.
